Kids Fly Casting on the Boston Common Frog Pond

Kids Fly Casting Training on the Boston Common Frog Pond - Saturday, May 13, 2017, from 10 AM to 4 PM.  Introduce your kids to the world of fly fishing! Experienced flycasters of all ages, male and female from the Greater Boston Chapter of Trout Unlimited (GBTU) will provide FREE hands-on instruction in the basics of casting a fly fishing rod.  

All kids – and their parents – are welcome. Boys and girls who are strong enough to hold and manipulate a fly fishing rod can participate.  (Kids age 5 and up participated in past years.)  

No cost – GBTU provides fly rods and reels.   (Casting only - no catching.  There are no fish in the Frog Pond!)

WHEN: Saturday, May 13, 2017, from 10 AM to 4 PM.

WHERE: Boston Common Frog Pond.  Closest T stops:  Green & Red Lines - Park St, Boylston;  Orange Line - Downtown Crossing, Chinatown; Blue Line – Govt Cntr

Directions by T: Red or Green Line to Park Street Station; Orange Line to Downtown Crossing or Chinatown Station.  Exit to Washington Street, then walk one block to Tremont St. and the Boston Common.

Parking: Boston Common underground parking garage (entrance on Charles Street between Beacon
and Boylston Streets).
