9/29/04 Ipswich Fishing Report from Fred Jennings

On Tuesday afternoon, I drove from Dane Street Beach up through Magnolia Beach, with a stop to fish out at White Beach where there were some fish breaking near enough (at times) to reach them. I caught four stripers between 19 and 21 inches long. Mikey and Steve K. each got one there as well. I didn't see any action at all on any of the other beaches I looked at. The action was extremely sporadic, but there were a few fish around.

Those are the only fish I've seen on the coast so far this fall. Maybe it's just starting, but these small fish imply the run may be over without ever starting!

There have been some fish on the front of Crane Beach on the early incoming tide during the past few dawns.
