Capt. Lynne Heyer

Capt. Lynne is a native Nantucketer who has fished all of
her life. Though she doesn't remember learning to fish,
she does remember learning how to fly fish, which occurred about 12 years ago.

Capt. Lynne and her husband, Capt. Jeff, opened Cross Rip Outfitters in 1996 and have been busy both on the water
and off ever since. The store features fly tackle, spin
tackle and accessories. Cross Rip Outfitters also has a guide service with several options that include both boat and beach trips. Capt. Lynne's role as the booker for the trips gives her all of the information from the captains and beach guides. This helps her write her informative fishing reports.

As her title suggests, she is a captain, but due to her responsibilities in the shop, she has not been actively guiding for a few years. She hopes to be back on the water again in the summer of 2005.
